If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the site.
1. Educational Purpose, Curriculum and Access Levels
Continental Communist is an independent publication dedicated to Marxist education, materialist analysis, historical study, and political economy.
- Free Learning Pathways: Learning pathways, course guides, syllabi, lecture guides, discussion questions, glossaries, and study bibliographies are provided completely free of charge and do not require an account.
- Free Learner Accounts for Reading: Access to full published analytical articles, primary source text chapters, and digital library books requires creating a free learner account.
- Informational Content: All commentary, historical analyses, reading pathways, and educational materials are published for scholarly, informational, and critical discussion purposes.
2. Learner Accounts and Security
Creating a free learner account unlocks access to published articles and digital library reading editions, while enabling you to synchronize your study record, reading pathways, bookmarks, and private research notes across devices.
- Eligibility: You must provide accurate and lawful information when creating an account.
- Credential Protection: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and managing any third-party credentials (such as Google OAuth) used to access your account. You agree not to share your account credentials with others.
- Account Discretion: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in security abuse, brute-force attempts, or intentional interference with the platform’s infrastructure.
- Voluntary Closure: You may request account deletion at any time, which will remove your profile, pathway enrollments, bookmarks, and private notes from the active learner database.
3. Intellectual Property and Content Rights
Original Publication Content
Unless otherwise indicated, original analytical articles, editorial commentary, pathway course guides, introductory notes, and website design elements are the intellectual property of Continental Communist and its respective authors, protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- You may quote, cite, and reference original material with proper attribution and a link back to the source work on Continental Communist.
- Systematic commercial reproduction or republishing of original essays in bulk requires prior written authorization.
Digital Library and Primary Source Texts
The digital library contains historical works, philosophical writings, political economy treatises, and classical primary source texts:
- Many historical works and primary documents are in the public domain or hosted pursuant to open educational, historical, and archival licenses (including works archived by the Marxists Internet Archive).
- Third-party monographs, collections, and referenced texts remain subject to their respective rights-holders, fair use doctrines, or open-access provisions under which they are distributed.

Learner Notes and Content
Any private research notes or annotations you compose while studying remain your personal intellectual property. Private notes are restricted to your account through row-level security and are never made public by Continental Communist.
